01What does HG Control do?
HG Control y Automatización develops and integrates industrial automation solutions: electrical panels, spare parts, variable speed drives, motor control centers, PLC/IO panels, engineering services and turnkey solutions for industry, from Torreón, Coahuila, since 1995.
02When is a variable speed drive (VFD) the right choice?
A VFD is the right choice when a motor needs speed control, energy savings, acceleration and deceleration ramps, integration into process control or advanced protection depending on the application.
03When is a soft starter better than a VFD?
A soft starter is the right choice when the motor only needs to reduce inrush current and mechanical stress at startup, but does not need to vary its speed during normal operation. If you need continuous speed control, a VFD is the correct option.
04What information do I need to define a PLC panel?
To define a PLC panel you need to know the physical inputs and outputs, the signal types, the preferred PLC brand, the HMI, the communications, the environment, the control voltage and whether the scope includes programming, testing or commissioning.
05What information do I need to define an MCC?
For an MCC you need the load list (HP/kW, voltage and starting type per motor), the main feed, the communication, the applicable standard, the environment and whether a fixed, modular or intelligent option is required.
06Can I start with a photo of the equipment or nameplate?
Yes. A photo of the nameplate, label, component or panel helps identify brand, model, capacity and missing data. A full review may require confirming part number, quantity, condition, compatibility and application.
07Can HG Control suggest equivalents for a spare part?
Yes. HG Control can review equivalents when a spare part is obsolete, unavailable or requires replacement. Every equivalent is validated technically —model, voltage, firmware and application— before it is used.
08Do you build panels under the UL 508A standard?
Yes. HG Control is a registered control panel builder under the UL 508A standard, with UL labeling on the finished enclosure and NEC / NFPA 79 compliance.
09Do you handle emergencies or plant shutdowns?
Yes. In the event of a shutdown or risk of one, the priority is to correctly identify the equipment and its criticality. Share part number, brand, quantity, nameplate photo and affected equipment, and let us know if you accept a technical equivalent.
